Nicotine Has Legitimate Medicinal Purposes!

Lowering the Nicotine in Cigarettes Will Probably Cause More Harm Than Good!

It sounds counter-intuitive, I know. Dr. Vape It and The Informer want you to know that nicotine is as bad for you as caffeine and like caffeine can have some good effects.

It was revealed there was a lower incidence of Alzheimer’s disease in smokers. Research has pointed to a compound called acetylcholine as the reason. Nicotine is structurally similar to acetylcholine, a naturally-occurring compound that serves as a neurotransmitter. Nicotine binds to nerve receptors and makes nerve cells fire more frequently. In one study, a group of Alzheimer’s patients was given nicotine patches, while another received a placebo. Those with nicotine patches maintained their cognitive abilities longer and sometimes even recovered lost cognitive function.

In 2000, a study performed at Stanford revealed surprising results about nicotine’s effects on blood vessels. Contrary to popular opinion, the study showed that nicotine actually boosts the growth of new blood vessels. The discovery may lead to new treatments for diabetes. Many people with severe diabetes experience poor circulation, which can lead to gangrene and ultimately, limb amputation.

In 2006, Duke scientists found that people with depression who were treated with nicotine patches reported a decrease in their depressive feelings. The results were perhaps not surprising for a drug associated with imparting a “buzz.” However, the research also showed a direct link between nicotine and an increase in the release of dopamine and serotonin, two vital neurotransmitters. A lack of dopamine or serotonin is a common cause of depression. Source:

So why would the FDA consider lowering the amount of nicotine in cigarettes? (See our post “FDA CONSIDERS REGULATING NICOTINE”) They hypothesize that you will be less addicted and can more easily quit. Do you agree? The Informer thinks the current smoker will smoke more to get the same “feeling” they are accustomed to and therefore smoke more! The result; to get the same amount of nicotine, the only potentially good thing in the cigarette, you will smoke MORE and get more of the extensive list of chemicals and carcinogens in that cigarette.

Alternative: Vape!

You can get the nicotine at the level you desire with none of the carcinogens.
How many people in the USA died from smoking last year? 480,000! How many died last year from Vaping? NONE!

Don’t Smoke it! Vape it!

  1. Lets get the person who does autopsies to answer some of these questions then I will form a better opinion. Thank you. A non-smoker with a daughter who is a former smoker and is now a vapin. My father died at 56. Former heavy smoker. He past away in 1977. He had been stopped for 20 years. The doctors told him if he didn’t stop he was going to die. After he stopped he lived 20 years but it wasn’t an easy life for the whole family. So let’s not fool ourselves or be fooled by anyone. Let’s ask the real doctors. Those who open us up. Thank you. Have a nice day.
